Ambrette Seed Essential Oil
Ambrette Seed Oil should beallowed to age for several months before being used in perfumes orflavors. By then, the initial fatty notes are subdued, and a rich,sweet, floral-musky, distinctly wine like or brandy like odor isdeveloped with a bouquet and roundness rarely found in any otherperfume material. The odorhas some notes in common with Cypress oil, Bulgarian rose oil,Clary sage and Cognac oil. There are certain tobacco like and''over ripe fruitlike notes with great similarity to higher estersof decyl alcohol. The water-white or pale yellow oil displays atenacity of odor which is almost incredible.Ambrette Seed Oil finds application inperfumes of the more sophisticated type. Also known for the''exalting effect which they impart to perfumes, and for the uniquebouquet they lend to perfume and flavors. This material blendsexcellently with Rose, Neroli and Sandalwood.
